Android Automotive gets over 70 new apps, Volvo and Polestar first to get them
Google just announced a big new upgrade to Android Automotive - support for over 70 new apps. Up until now, Google's native infotainment system platform supported just under 200 apps, but with the new update, the library is now closer to 300. But there's a big caveat.

Almost all newly added apps can only run when the vehicle is stationary. This is a safety measure that prevents drivers from being distracted.
There's a wide selection of new apps from most categories, including games and streaming services. Now you can enjoy CTV News, NBC News, Red Bull TV, F1 TV, and Watcha.
The update is already available to Volvo and Polestar vehicles, but Google promises to expand the latest version to more vehicles in the coming weeks and months.
