Peugeot e-208 gets a range boost and a couple of new features
Peugeot just announced a small upgrade to its best-selling B-class EV in France and Europe, the Peugeot e-208. The company didn't explicitly say how it achieved that, but the vehicle gets 14 miles of extra range, according to the WLTP combined cycle.
That makes the e-208's total range 269 miles on a single charge, but it still rocks the same front-mounted 156-hp electric motor and seemingly the same battery.

Additionally, customers who order the car with the optional navigation system will get access to the Trip Planner feature, which makes charging on the way much easier and more convenient. The Trip Planner will guide you to the most convenient charging point by taking into account the battery charge and temperature, distance, outside temperature, and the availability of the charging stations in the region.
The e-208 now also allows you to set an 80% charging limit on an AC outlet to preserve battery health. You can also throw in a V2L function when ordering. This feature allows you to plug in other electrical devices or even home appliances and use the car's high-voltage battery as a power source.
Last but not least, Peugeot is making a few more features standard. For instance, all configurations now get a video camera for enhanced safety in Automatic Emergency Braking, specifically for cyclists and pedestrians. A new Okenite White color is available in the configurator.
