Kick-starting the Japan Mobility Show Nissan dropped a real bomb: the Nissan Hyper Force concept. If you've been tracking Nissan’s series of innovative “hyper” concept vehicles, then this is the climax you’ve been waiting for. Unlike the other wild concepts, this one is not just another pipe dream - this is the potential future face of Nissan's iconic GT-R.

Nissan is pivoting to an all-electric platform, but one that befits the legendary name. The Hyper Force boasts an impressive 1,000 kW (equivalent to 1,341 hp) all-electric powertrain. Expect acceleration to be nothing short of mind-blowing.

With Nissan’s e-4ORCE all-wheel control technology and a lightweight carbon body, the car promises precision in cornering and supreme handling - whether you're on a city street or a serpentine mountain pass. And obviously NISMO was involved in ensuring this car slices through the air with optimized aerodynamics.

Design-wise, there is no way in hell you could mistake this concept for anything else than the GT-R of the future. If you have any doubts - just look at those rear lights.

The Hyper Force offers two driving modes: Grand Touring (“GT”) and Racing (“R”), get it? Racing mode immerses you in a red-lit cockpit, with all the essential data for the track surrounding you, while GT mode gives you a more relaxed blue ambiance, focusing on comfort.

Safety features have also been mentioned, further suggesting this concept is meant to become a road-legal vehicle before long. It integrates advanced autonomous driving capabilities, using LiDAR and a plethora of sensors designed for high-intensity driving. Whether you're weaving through traffic or pushing the limits on the track, the Hyper Force has got your back.

On the more futuristic side the Hyper Force offers a blend of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) for an immersive driving experience. Imagine donning a helmet and racing against virtual competitors or even going head-to-head with the digital avatars of professional racers. It's like a video game but in your actual car. This particular bit was actually done in collaboration with Polyphony Digital, the masterminds behind the famous Gran Turismo video game.

The Hyper Force gives us hope that the GT-R will live on in name and spirit in the EV era. And we couldn't be more excited about it!
