Samsung puts ex-Mercedes designer in charge of the Galaxy design team

Hubert H. Lee will be the EVP and Head of the Mobile Experience division that is responsible for the Galaxy S and Z series, the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Watch designs.

Maybe this genius can figure out that the current line of Galaxy budget tablets (A7 / A8 etc) ,which have cheep TFT displays, need OLED screens. There is no decent budget tablet available A N Y W H E R E. Fix it.

Design is a language and it doesn't matter what the product is.
Barcelona chairs were designed by reknown architect Mies van der Rohe and is one of the most iconic furniture.
Some of the most famous furnitures are designed by non furniture designers.
Also, car designers has always been part of cellphone designs.
For example, Porsche designed phones, Lamborghini designed phones etc.
Do your research before writing dumb things on the internet for all to see.

How can you be sure he knows nothing about phones, just because his previous job was into cars? He can be a phone fan too, right?

So Germans are lacking any innovation, artistic talent and recourse to hire Koreans, Chinese to design their cars, lame.

Excellent a guy which have no idea and clue about phones because he was working on cars is going to make phones.
This makes no sense at all.
Even a small childrens can design better because they exactly know what others will like.
Making a phone which wil looks more like a car have no sense.
But hey its Samsung and their choice how to ruin their bussiness.
