No, your 800V Hyundai or Kia doesn't charge at 350kW

The two brands' PR departments are certainly pushing the ethics envelope.

1) These metals are being mined already for all things electronics and can be mined cleaner than Fossil Fuels.
2) Brake Pads last MUCH MUCH longer on EV's than on FF vehicles and EV tires wear out at the same rate as other cars driven hard, like sports cars. Big FF trucks are by far the biggest tire polluters around.
3) FF and EV's have less range in the cold though EV's lose more range. But EV's are improving fast.
4) Battery replacement costs?? How many folks need new batts?? Very uncommon nowadays. Battery warranties are also very very long.

Reality..., 03 Jun 2024Respect for calling out the bs marketing associated with EVs...🫡 Now if you can write some ... moreEspecially in comparison to ice cars? For example how the petroleum industry can pollute the environment in many ways, including air, water, and climate change:
Air pollution
Petroleum refineries emit toxic air pollutants like benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX compounds). They also release criteria air pollutants like carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and sulfur dioxide (SO2). These emissions can be caused by equipment leaks, high-temperature combustion processes, steam and fluid heating, and product transfer. Fugitive emissions, which are unintentional leaks of gases, can also occur from small cracks or breaks in seals, tubing, valves, or pipelines. When natural gas escapes via fugitive emissions, it releases methane and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air. Petroleum hydrocarbons like gasoline, diesel, or jet fuel can also intrude into indoor spaces from underground storage tanks or brownfields, which can be explosive and cause adverse health effects from inhalation.
Water pollution
Petroleum refineries can contaminate ground and surface water by returning fresh water used for product cooling to its original source, which may contain crude oil, petroleum products, and mineral salts.
Climate change
As a fossil fuel, the combustion of petroleum contributes to polluting emissions, especially carbon dioxide, one of the most dangerous greenhouse gases. In 2022, the production, transport, and processing of oil and gas resulted in 5.1 billion tonnes (Gt) CO2-eq, which is responsible for just under 15% of total energy-related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Respect for calling out the bs marketing associated with EVs...🫡

Now if you can write some articles about the

1. Environmental effects (especially on fresh water) of mining for the metals needed for EV batteries.

2. Tyre and brake pad wear frequency of EVs and it's effects on the environment.

3. Effect of various climate conditions on the realistic range of the EV battery.

4. Reported battery replacement costs of EV manufacturers.

that would be amazing. Thanks in advance :)

You assume I have a 800V Hyundai vor Kia? That's oddly specific of you.
