And it was outside pretty much the whole day on the trip, not sitting inside the garage.
I still love the concept of solar extended range, you just have to manage your expectations and above all consider if it's even worth it considering the weight and price.

The itty bitty panel on the Prius roof can manage 4 miles of extra range a day. And that car ignores every other usable surface that could have solar panels mounted.
