BYD announces its first European EV factory in Hungary

It will be built in phases over the next two years and will make over 100,000 cars per year.
This is truly great news for Türkiye. Because Türkiye imposes 54% customs duty on electric cars coming from China, but if they are produced in Hungary, they can come with zero tax.
