Foreign brands are getting their a** kicked due to the amount of state support to the local players. SAIC is doing the typical thing - playing victim.

Rather than punishing global consumers for a nation subsidising a leap to the "green" way to own a car. Shouldn't other governments follow? All good saying your government pledges to go green by 20XX, but when one county puts its money where it's mouth is, other countries cheater. The west are being sore losses about this. Beat them at their own game if you want X practice to stop.

" For instance, the company claims the EC erroneously included subsidies intended for Chinese EV buyers as part of the subsidy rate for vehicles sold in the EU."
This is very interesting If true.

What I don't get is why the EU is still insisting on these tariffs on Chinese EVs when their own car companies are protesting against them. They haven't had any problems competing with Chinese EVs in China with or without the alleged subsidies and shouldn't have any problems competing in the EU. What they are concerned about are clueless EU politicians starting a tariff war between EU and China which absolutely benefits no one.
