Anonymous, 18 Nov 2024It is a great strategy of the Chinese government, it is financing all large Chinese companies ... more In reality lot of non chinese EV makers like Tesla, Rivian , Porsche, Hyundai, Renault, Fiat, Lucid, Tata, Vinfast, kia are still competitive in price and performance, successful and not complaining about EV market. All governments have given subsidies to local EV makers, not just China.

If someone dreams that west will start producing all goods domestically, then get your brain checked.
It will increase prices, everything will become more expensive and there is no workforce in the west to pull this off, It's not easy to find a qualified worker here(Europe) or a worker at all unless you pay a lot.
No one in the west wants to work as hard as Asians do(have to) in a factory, young people here don't even want to actually work, more like have office "jobs" or be youtubers and such.

Even exporting to countries, which don't have knowhow to make It won't result in increased prices, because then western companies will be once again competitive.
