chinese evs don't really sell in europe, at ... moreRussia is rich in resources, true, but even If there was no war or sanctions, I don't think trade with them would save us or something like that, just the cherry on the cake.
EU is too expensive and Brussel also makes some re*arted decisions, that's the problem.
China won't make significant concessions to EU If at all, especially not when we are doing what US tells us in their trade war against China. The bad thing is that for VW, BMW and Mercedes China is a very big market, losing It will be pretty bad for Germany and with It also for EU. I don't expect good days ahead for us.

I blame european companies that, for greed, did not make the modernization of their fabrication of cars, keeping the fossil fuel models as long as possible instead of converting in EV or hydrogen powered cars.
I am french and, 60 years ago, Alain Peyrefitte published an essay titled "When China will awake" that decribe precisely what happened in the ultimate years.

Within 15 years, european automotive industry will be dead because of the chinese corporations that reached european innovation nivel in engineering and building methods and now are ahead of us. They needed less time than the japanese io pass from bad copies of foreign goods to up to date models that surpass the originals.
Greedy Western companies subcontracted chinese enterprises to cut costs but they lost their technologic advances and they will pay a huge price for it,

Need to cut the transfer prices at related party as well as un-related party in all facets: including contractors, licensors, vendors, utilities, taxes, fees, dealers, parts, consultants, auditors, board members, etc.

If VW has problems, I doubt other EU car makers have no problems.
Ok, BMW and Mercedes are probably fine considering they cater to more expensive cars.
