Peugeot beats Volkswagen to the punch with new E-208 GTI electric hot hatch

Peugeot has officially beaten Volkswagen to the electric hot hatch market with the surprise reveal of its 280-horsepower E-208 GTI.

what a waste of power and money. 280hp with just a mere 180kmh top speed, same as the cheapest 208 on sale. golf gti (ice) can hit 250kmh in just 45sec with lower price,less weight, better quality and similar power. hot hatches are a sports cars, and they are built to go fast, not lame.

At this price range I’d just get a Model 3 LR it’s literally faster, cheaper and has more range, and with a bit of break/suspension mods can probably be more fun on track.

Idk that sounds kinda meh. 350km stated by the company automatically means 250km driving normally. But this is a GTI which is meant for people who like pressing the gas pedal. This means I’d have to charge alot.

It's a shame that Matthias Hossann has disfigured the 208. The light signature is truly grotesque.
