Chinese tech giant Xiaomi admitted to purchasing and completely disassembling three Tesla Model Ys to learn how to build its own popular YU7 electric SUV.

isn't that what most companies do, it was the same at the start of the smartphone era, I remember specifically that Nokia bought multiple original iPhones to see how they were assembled and built, and all phone vendors buy each others for hardware analysis

Well... that's the smart way to do it. If Sweeney from Epic Games had even half a brain cell he'd have done it that way with Steam when opening EGS and things would have gone smoother.

Honesty really goes a long way. Taking points from the competition but actually complementing their design at the same time show the consumer the company probably is also honest with their product.
