Volvo enters the commercial market with the EX30 Cargo, a compact electric van that swaps rear seats for a {{1,000 l}} storage bay and 428 horsepower.

Frici, 26 Mar 2026The idea is ok, because the commercial van can deduct VAT, but the pricing does not make sense... moreThe luggage compartment doesn't look very effective, with the curved walls around and being pretty small, but I think it's an interesting proposition. Regarding economicity, I think if a business has got a proper infrastructure and can schedule recharge times effectively (as in: never having to fast charge), it can be much cheaper than any ICE alternatives.

The idea is ok, because the commercial van can deduct VAT, but the pricing does not make sense from business perspective, diesel vans are way more affordable and economical.
