Nissan revives Pixo in order to survive the electric era

Nissan is reviving the Pixo nameplate for 2027 as a sub-{{€20,000}} electric city car, borrowing Renault’s AmpR Small platform to mount a cheeky, retro-inspired defense against the ultra-cheap Chinese rivals.

Given that Nissan is still under Renault ownership, I don't mind seeing the Pixo sharing its basics with the Twingo. And given that Nissan still has larger worldwide market than Renault, the Pixo could whet the appetite for the Twingo that most people outside Europe, especially France, won't get.

Chinese market has proven, people prefer 4m cars, with xingyuan. 3.8m is too small for backseat.
